Scope of Work
GRES (formerly HEA) provided Thatcher Chemicals with an architectural engineering package for permitting purposes at their Sacramento, CA chemical plant. The chlorine building was a tilt-up building with dimensions and layout similar to the Thatcher Henderson NV plant design.
GRES provided the necessary drawings, specifications, code review, and permit detail for submittal to the city of Sacramento.
The scope items provided were:
- Building shell – tip up with cross sections and elevation drawings
- Electrical related to Building Services for lighting and receptacles and HVAC design.
- Lighting plan
- Exterior landscaping plan with retention basin (or tied into existing already permitted for general site development).
- Concrete slab with input for point loads from PSE.
- Foundation drawings for building.
- Specifications for doors and window.
Equipment loading, general power for equipment electrical (excluding general lighting plan) was completed by others. Piping and mechanical including fire suppression was other completed by others and excluded from this scope.
GRES prepared documents and drawings within their scope for submittal to the City of Sacramento for permitting of the facility. Other scope items for submittal to the city outside GRES’ scope were excluded and completed by others.
Utilities included:
- Water connection to municipal water service
- Natural Gas connection from public service line to building. Distribution is by others.
- Sewer connection is not required, therefore excluded.
- Electrical Power to facility and for process equipment, grounding, etc. was by others.
Survey, Geo-technical soils report and legal description to be supplied by Thatcher Chemicals. The project site is assumed to be graded and level per prior facility design and approval.
