Scope of Work
GRES (formerly HEA) performed detail engineering on the design of two (2) new CIC Process facilities to optimize production from their dedicated heaps. The primary focus was the increase in the amount of solution going through carbon by combining solution from their West (Pond 11) and South (Pond 7) dedicated heaps. By increasing the barren solution creation RMGC could bring ounces forward in production by processing more pregnant/lean solution and flushing more lean solution out of the heap. The flow rates were 3,000 and 4,000 gpm, respectfully. The design was a vertical carbon-in-column design with concrete pads, barren solution and pregnant solution pipelines with tie-in points and carbon loading/unloading facility for each dedicated heap that was provided up to construction activities. The project included foundations, piping, electrical and control system design all provided by GRES.
