Scope of Work
GR Engineering Services (GRES) was appointed by Aurenne Mt Ida Pty Ltd (Aurenne Group Mining) to undertake the engineering, design, procurement, construction and commissioning of a 1.2 Mtpa gold processing facility and associated plant infrastructure.
The Project is located approximately 220 km north of Kalgoorlie and 90 km north-west of Menzies in Western Australia.
A $74 Million fixed lump sum (EPC) contract was awarded to GRES in September 2021, with practical completion successfully achieved in April 2023, ahead of schedule.
The processing plant scope of work consisted of a single stage crushing circuit, a two stage grinding circuit that included a 1.8 MW SAG Mill and 3.5 MW Ball Mill. Ore slurry classification is via cyclone separation, with a 16 m thickener and includes a seven stage carbon in leach (CIL) circuit. Gold is stripped from the loaded carbon using a Zadra process elution circuit located in a purpose built gold room with the electrowinning cells.
Other infrastructure that formed part of the GRES scope included tailing transfer and distribution pipework, decant water pumps and pipework and NPI underground services pipe installation.
