Scope of Work
he Kathleen Valley Lithium Project managed by LRL (Aust) Pty Ltd commissioned GR Engineering for the engineering, procurement and construction of a paste plant facility which will produce paste fill for use in Liontown’s underground operations. The Project is a globally significant Tier-1 battery metals asset located in a premier mining jurisdiction approximately 60 km north of Leinster and 680 km north-east of Perth, Western Australia.
The Kathleen Valley Paste Plant (KVPP) is designed to operate under differing circuit configurations. The plant consists of dual train filtration, mixing, binder storage, dosing and paste pumping, each independent train is sized to produce 160 m3/h of paste or dry tails stack at 151 tph. The KVPP is initially planned to operate at 3 Mtpa. However, designed in is the ability to accommodate an increase in throughput at the Lithium concentrator to a future 4 Mtpa.
The KVPP plant can operate in any of the below configurations:
1. All tails slurry bypassing KVPP to report to the TSF. 2. KVPP 1 and 2 bypassing all dry stacked. 3. Combination KVPP 1 or 2 generating paste remainder to TSF. 4. KVPP 1 and 2 generating paste.
