Scope of Work
GR Engineering completed the DFS for the restart of the 1.2 Mpta Davyhurst gold processing plant in June 2020 and was awarded the EPC contract to commence site refurbishment and debottlenecking works in July 2020.
Part of the scope was to refurbish the steel work, plate work and concrete onsite using a specialist concrete and surface treatment remediation contractor. The major scope included remediation of concrete plinths for the primary crusher and mills as well as application of surface treatment inside various leach and adsorption tanks. All mechanical equipment onsite was inspected and refurbished as required to ensure it is fit for purpose.
Various debottlenecking activities were undertaken to provide better plant availability and operability. The major debottlenecking activities included the installation of a new and larger double deck screen in the crushing circuit, upgrade and automation of the two remote borefields that provide water to the plant and the supply and installation of additional instrumentation, process control and automation throughout the processing plant.
The process plant facility commenced ore commissioning in January 2021 and was completed in February 2021.
