Catalpa Resources Ltd (ASX: CAH) today announced that construction of their Edna May gold project remains within budget and on schedule to commence commissioning in May 2010. GRES have a contract with Catalpa for the design and construction of the 2.8 million tonne per year gold plant.
By the end of 2009, concrete works and leach and adsorption tankage construction was complete. The relocated and refurbished (ex Big Bell) SAG and ball mills were installed and electrical and piping installations had commenced.
The on-track construction of Edna May continues GR Engineering Services’ outstanding track record of on time and on budget design and construction works in the minerals industry. During a period when many minerals projects have been plagued with schedule and cost over-runs, GRES have successfully completed major projects for Avoca Resources at Higginsville, Xstrata Nickel at Sinclair and Western Areas at Cosmic Boy.
